I would like to report on the July 16, 2023 DVD release event at Sannomiya Tsubaki, which I also attended.
I arrived at Ramtara Media World AKIBA 30 minutes before the event start time of 11:30 a.m., but when I tried to purchase additional DVDs and climb the stairs at the back of the store, the line had already reached just above the second floor.
I asked the person at the end of the line if this is the line for the event, and he said it probably is. He said, “Yes, it is. I did not expect to see a line from the 6th floor of the event hall all the way to the 2nd floor. As I would find out later, I was about 20th in line.
At exactly 11:30, the waiting line advanced and we were led to the event floor on the 6th floor. It was a slightly larger room with a stage in front and waiting chairs lined up on either side. We were seated there, and as the MC led the way, Ms.Tsubaki walked in wearing a pink bikini and a white parker. Her hair was slightly wavy and she looked very cute.
Basically, one by one, the program will consist of an individual photo shoot and a two-shot shoot, with an additional autograph for the purchase of two DVDs, and a swimsuit shot and a instant-photo for the purchase of three DVDs.
When it was my turn, I had trouble with my camera shutter, so I decided to take pictures with my phone and finished the photo shoot. I had him sign my autograph and talk with him for a while, and that was it. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes.
After the event was over, Sannomiya Tsubaki tweeted her thanks on Twitter, saying how much fun she had and how happy she was to receive so many flowers and souvenirs. At any rate, we were glad that the event was successfully completed.
As of now, there are no plans for the next event, but a new DVD is released every month and it is likely that there will be at least one more before the end of the year. I for one am very much looking forward to it!
